Of course, there are no such thing as vampires in the Hollywood sense. However there are plenty of creatures that live of blood (human blood included, in fact it can be a staple diet in some parts of the world - usually from cows or horses). We have really enjoyed True Blood as pure entertainment, but there is absolutely no science in it!
